Carter's game

Tonight's game is playing for 1st place in their division against WBL in WBL. They didn't play their best and they lost but it on to playoffs!
The sun coming through the trees at the park was so pretty! I love summertime, sunsets and baseball!
Carter hit the ball tonight and was so, so close to getting on base!

Carter 's foot in the air getting to first base just a step behind the ball! Ugh, so close!

Reese and Tanner watching the game! She LOVES being the BIG cousin! She is so good with the little ones!
Carter had a good cheering section today, if only the game turned out better!
As much as a particular kid complains about all the little siblings, there are these times where he shows that he is such a good brother! After his game, he wanted to get home but Reese wanted to play for a few minutes, so he obliged! How has my baby gotten so grown up - yes, you, CARTER!

There have been 2 or 3 bunnies hanging out in the yard (sadly, one would die in our little garden area later in the summer after it scared the begeebers out of me! This is the only good thing about the clovers - the bunnies LOVE them and they are eating them for us - naturally, no chemicals needed.

How can she sleep like this!? She is hardly ever "right" on her bed!

Whoa! Quick Storm!

Carter had a game all the way over in Mahtomedi!  It was possibly supposed to rain and as we got to the fields, the storm line was practically right over us.  It appeared to be moving out of Mahtomedi and more towards Stillwater but all of the sudden the storm changed directions.  The game was put on hold while they watched what the weather was going to do.  They eventually called the game, around 6:40 and we got in the car to leave. Go figure, one of the farthest fields from the house and it gets canceled!

As I was trying to get out of the parking lot, something hit my windshield and it HIT IT HARD.  It sounded like a golf ball hitting low on my window - making Carter and I jump! Then little hail accompanied some rain and, boy, did it rain! Driving through the side streets of Mahtomedi was a little bit challenging.

Girl Tent, Boy Tent

The kids were playing with Bella and Max and asked if they could build some forts outside. Why not? It is a gorgeous day out. The boys wanted to be apart from the girls so they headed over to the neighbors house. The girls set up camp here and even wanted to eat their lunch outside.

some Exciting News!

I spoke with Jen last night.  She was babysitting Niko and "practicing!"  I said, "what?!" She told me that she was hoping it was some good practice for her!  I asked her if she was trying to tell me something!  She is cautiously optimistic - I have let her know that I have been praying for her and that I will continue.  She has an ultrasound on the 9th and I PRAY that all is well!  She would be due in February - she would be due on February 2016, yaey, a month with no grandkid/cousin birthdays. I want so much for her to be a mom to another cutie-patootie!  #15 - Holy cow!  Mom wished for grandkids and she and Pop-pop have gotten a few!

Trip to Golden Lake today! It was a great day for it and it is so nice to see the kids playing together nicely!

I LOVE how you can see Carter in the background running into the lake!
Ahhh, how nice they are getting along!

The clouds very so fluffy on one side of Cty Rd 10 and on the other side, it was like Heaven was shining down. So, so pretty (can't tell in photo!).

Another game for Carter today. He has been working on his batting. Often times, if he plays in the field, there is a designated batter for Carter, so he isn't getting the practice he needs. Coach Dainty told him he did a great job tonight and that his practice is starting to show. Good job, Carter!
A hit from Johnny! Crazy diving slide from Nathan!
Carter up to bat! Go Carter!

Something happened with this play - John is pointing at Carter who started to run from 2nd to 3rd but shouldn't have been. So, then Carter starts his run back to 2nd...

John getting a hit to get John home and Carter to 3rd base!

And, he makes it home...
and he wasn't the only one that was excited about it. So was Coach Dainty and Johnny!

I just love this photo from Mickey pitching! 3rd strike and batters out! Love the ref's enthusiasm!
