Halloween and Grandma's birthday!

Before Cooper came today, Reese found some music on the TV.
Me: Who is this singing Reese?
Reese: SHOTGUN RIDER  (aka Tim McGraw!)  She loves this song.

Lunch today ~ raspberries, veggies and a ghost sandwich!  Reese and Cooper thought that was pretty fun!
I love seeing these 2 playing with the dollhouse.  Cooper has had so much fun playing with this thing the last year.  It is good for him, too, to play with some "girlie" toys! And, they play so well!
Carter went out trick or treating at the last minute with some friends.  Dave took the 3 other kids out while I handed out candy.  They came back with a lot of LOOT!
the pumpkins all lit up for the night.  I think that we had about 20-25 trick or treaters this year.  On the higher end of # of kids for this part of the neighborhood!  Now that Bauldauffs are gone, we are the only ones that hand out candy!
The last few years, Jeff has made AWESOME costumes for Bella and Max.  He spends HOURS on them.  This year was no exception!
Happy Birthday, Grandma (in Wisconsin as the kids would say)!  We love you and thanks for everything!

Ghost feet

We did an art project today - painted Reese and Cooper's feet with white paint and put them on black construction paper (the paper that is ALWAYS left!) and made some ghosts out of their feet.  I forgot to get a photo of the finished product but I painted our noses to be silly!

This is how I found Kendall tonight.  She is normally fine (maybe an arm or foot hanging off the guardrail on her bed).  But, a foot straight up in the air?  I don't get it!

Pumpkin Carving! Never know what you will find!

Tonight we carved our pumpkins!  They turned out so nice.

The kids all picked out which design they wanted to do.  I typically print up a handful of pictures of other pumpkins for the kids. Carter wanted to do a "puking" pumpkin, Dawson did a pirate pumpkin, Kendall did a smiling pumpkin and Reese did a mouse pumpkin!
When outside, we saved some of the pumpkin guts to spill out of his mouth!
Dawson HATES the inside guts of the pumpkin.  He was half-heartedly taking out the guts this year, though mom had to do a lot of it!  Someday, someday, buddy!

We forgot to take a photo of Dawson with him pumpkin tonight.  I took it after Halloween and it is looking a little "saggy" but he wanted a photo regardless!
Kendall's not too afraid of the guts.  I had to help do some scraping but she did most of it!
Reese picked out a nice little pumpkin again this year.  Less guts for me to clean out!

I never know what I am going to find when I check on the girls before I go to bed.  This is how I found Reese tonight.  How can she be comfy?  How did I NOT hear her moving all these things onto her bed since their room is right next to the living room!

another beautiful start

The cloud cover made for a beautiful sunrise this morning!

I am not sure where this photo came from.  I know that I did not take it.  Maybe Dave did.  Or Dawson.  This is Dave's deer that he got this year during Wisconsin's bow hunting season! Adding them to his collection of buck horns.

Red Tomatoes!

I am so glad that I said something to that farmer at the farmer's market!  Look at how pretty these tomatoes are and they were green only a few short weeks ago.  Putting them in a dark, cool place should ripen them up - perfect in the crawl space under our stairs! We have been eating lots of tomatoes in October and into November we will be too!

DJ Championship FB game! ZooBoo!

Dawson's CHAMPIONSHIP game was @ 9:30AM...on a SUNDAY!  It was pretty chilly out but at least it was nice and sunny!  It was not the best game.  Unfortunately, the Blaine team was a little "cheap" on some plays and Dawson's team just couldn't pull it off.  It was fun to see them play in the Blaine HS stadium though and they got 2nd place!  Way to go SLP Panthers!  This was a fun season.  I was a little worried going into it, but for now, it was fun to see him play!

Beginning of the game - I didn't realize that the boys were holding hands at the time of this photo!  I love that!
Coach "Daddy" and Coach Josh watching
Go Dawson #32!

The end of the games plays - I love Coach "Daddy's" stance...the next photo is even better!
Oh, so close!  Trying to get one last score, but didn't quite make it!
The SLP Football Commissioner, Phil Richards, telling the boys how proud he was of them and their season!  2nd Place, great job SLP 2nd grade football team!

Dawson getting his trophy and with Coach Adam
Tonight is the 13th (or maybe 14th!?) ZooBoo night!  This year there are TWO new additions- but some missing because of their age (Carter, Teagan, Heather) or sickness (Dawson).  I still love going to this - not just for the kiddos but also supporting the Como Zoo!

Jamie with Asher and Drew with Camdyn - 17 days old

The sky was so pretty tonight!
 The witch and Batman
Photo-bombing Uncle Joe! Lion Tanner checking to see if there were any animals outside!
Trying some hula hooping!

 How pretty are these ladies?

The girls with Tinkerbell & Peter Pan and with Rapunzel!
Another fairy!
FROZEN!!!! Kendall and Reese with Elsa and Anna

The kids - Boston, Cooper, Reese & Kendall with Batman and Robin
