Ah, Moscato!

Today, this was needed. This is a great bubbly wine. In my wonderful glass from Dawn. I think I poured it to Prancin'!

Cemetery. Sickness and Basketball

It was a long, hard day today. Reese and I went to Calvary Cemetery to figure out a plot for dad. It was one of the only requests that he made. While he can be buried at Fort Snelling (for free!) we have decided that it is right to bury him in Calvary, in a small area by his dad, which was his request.  Michael was who Jen spoke with a while back. He took me out to the area where they have a new spot for cremation only burial. It is in section 13 and Clifford is in section 12. It was a bitter cold day so we just looked at the area quick, I took a few photos and we left after we got all the pertinent info from Michael.

This is the view looking up from dad's plot. If you go over the hill a little more, you can see St. Paul. it is a nice little area and it is where dad would want to be.

Since I was sort of in the area I drove by Grandma & Grandpa's old house off of Ivy Avenue. So many memories of Christmas, celebrating. Throwing pennies on the railroad track & waiting for the trains to come and run over them. It looks so much like it used to!
Dawson went to school today and was complaining that he wasn't feeling well. At about 3:15 I got the call - he had a fever (which he did NOT have this AM, he was just complaining of a stomach ache). So, Reese & I headed up to grab him. When we got in the office, I was talking with Ms. Clements and she commented that it looked like our daughter in the nurses office too. I didn't have my glasses on but I said "it does but those weren't the clothes she was in this morning!" Here the nurses office was so busy and the regular nurse was out, so Kendall was in the hall waiting for the nurse to call her in...and she puked! All. over. herself! Ugh!

Dawson was upset that he might not be able to play in his final BB game tonight. I told him we would see how he feels. Gave him some kids advil and he seemed to be feeling better. Kendall was resting. Meanwhile this is what Dawson and Reese were doing...playdoh mess. I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with playdoh for just this reason.

Dawson was feeling alright after school and some Advil as he really did not have a fever after he got home. But, shortly into the game, he was short of breath and had already drank his entire water bottle. We went down to the water fountain, got some water and took a break. He sat the next period and then went back in. They ended up losing a really close game. I believe the got 2nd place. It was a fun season to watch! Until next year!

Go Panthers!
Tongue out...as usual!
Getting their medals! They are all giggling and plugging their noses because, of course, someone farted in the hallway!

CJ basketball

Today the boys played Stillwater. They lost. It is frustrating but they are just being out played. Passes are being easily read & intercepted. Players are trying to be too fancy at shots sometimes. They aren't a bad team but they just need to work a little more together as a team, which they don't always. Hopefully as freshman next year, they will play as a team and get it together so they can win a few games! I think that so many leagues for kids, it gets hard. Traveling, in-house, school and so on.

Two Babies, One Smile...

Trying to get these 2 to smile at the same time = impossible. Asher is typically the one that I can get to smile.  Camdyn is just way more serious. And, these two with their tongues! Always sticking out!

Reese and her babies! She loves them! Such a good BIG cousin!
Someone didn't want their photo taken. But, eventually...
CHEESE!

Postponed!

It is so cold out today but Reese and I were going to go look at a cemetery plot for Gramps. Luck has it, Michael from Calvary, called me this morning to tell me he was sick and not going into work today! Bummer! Going to meet with him on Thursday instead!

Kabobs!

I found this recipe last year, or 2 years prior and I just love making them. The marinade is so simple but so delicious - honey, soy sauce, some seasonings. Since it is so cold out, I did them in the oven and not on the grill like I typically do! The chicken turns out nice and tender but the mushrooms (and the zucchini) are the BEST on here! Made me think of summer grillin'!

Ice Cream for Breakfast day!

I heard on the radio a few days ago that it is Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast day! A family that lost their child to cancer came up with this idea to celebrate her after her death. She loved ice cream and what better way to do it then at breakfast! The kids were pretty excited to have a sunday for breakfast. Unfortunately Carter was already at school so he missed out (i think he got his for snack later at night!). http://eaticecreamforbreakfast.com/

This baby!

Asher has gotten to be a little chunky! He is on a formula with cereal in it - it really has helped so he doesn't burp up as much! Today I pulled out a onesie - it didn't quite fit him - as shown in the photo where he is sitting up. There also wasn't an outfit - luckily I had one that Jamie had given back to me! I love watching these munchkins! But, I LOVE that they get to go home at the end of the day! :)

Bowling with Teagan!

No school for the kids and no work for Auntie Heather (and no kids, but my own, for me today!) so we took the kids bowling @ Blainbrook! The kids had a blast! Too bad Auntie Heather and I couldn't have a beer together! :) Darn Pregnancy - for Heather that is, not me!
                                          Carter                                                        Dawson
Kendall                           Reese- love how she has her hands in her Pockets!
Teagan
The girls were cracking me up. Hanging their heads over the hand dryer for the bowling lane!

Happy Hearts day!

I came out in the living room and this is what I saw - Kendall the sunbathing princess! I agree with her - this is a wonderful place to sit. In the sun where it is so warming and relaxing. I do have to admit that I have, in the middle of winter, sat in the sun and either read a book or just relaxed for 15-20 minutes. It does the mind and body wonders!

Got all crazy for Valentine's day! Wahoo! Happy Hearts day!
