Happy Easter Sunday!

The kids have been waiting all week for the Easter Bunny to come!  Well, he/she finally did!  The kids had a blast today, though I believe that we really need to get them to church so they can truly understand the meaning behind Easter (no, it is not really about the EASTER BUNNY!).  We went to Grandma & Grandpa Coleman's before lunch then headed to Nana & Pop-Pop's for an early dinner about 4!
Easter bunny egg hunt at our house!  The kids were kind enought to let us sleep in a little - I heard some voices but they did not actually wake us until like 7!  Thanks kiddos!
Kids with their baskets {Carter wasn't home for Easter this year!  :(  he got to come home later in the evening and find his}
Finding eggs!
The Coleman Grandkids (unfortunately Carter wasn't there!).  The kids also usually look for eggs outside but since there was still snow on the ground and the temperature is still pretty cool they just got their baskets this year with some candy filled eggs in them!
Grandma & Grandpa with the kids
A partial photo of our family!
Trying to get a photo of the Schultz family and Grace was just being silly!
Then Kendall wanted to be silly too so she started pulling Uncle Todd's goatee!
Dave even took the camera and snapped a few photos!  I am in a few of them...though they aren't the best pictures!

Next stop, Nana and Pop-Pop's!
Yummy (and adorable) cupcakes made by Auntie Jamie!  Mommy should not have shared her cupcake recipe with Auntie Jamie, now she LOVES to make them!  ;)
Kendall enjoying her cupcake!

Reese and Cooper sharing some chips!  These photos just don't do any justice to what was occuring when they were sharing!  It was soooo cute!  Reese just LOVES Cooper!

Some of the Johnson family cousins!  Evan left prior to this photo, Carter was not there at all, and Adam and Gwen had stopped by earlier in the morning...and one has not arrived yet!

 Kendall & Pop-pop
Every year, one or 2 of the BIG kids hides the eggs at Nana & Pop-Pops!  There was a little confusion on color of eggs (whoops Uncle Joe & Nana!) and Uncle Joe thought he would hide Teagan's eggs ESPECIALLY hard!  So, I was helping her "cheat" once I found out where they were hiding - hey, Teegs, why don't you go give Pop-Pop a HUG!?  She is pullling a purple egg out of his pocket in this photo.
Auntie Jen's baby BUMP!  It was like a perfect little basketball.  One of the girls gave her a mermaid sticker for her belly!
Reese was giggling in this photo as the baby kicked her!
Cooper was feeling Pop-Pop's goatee...it was so cute!
Reese loves to give hugs and sit on people's laps still, so I tend to get lots of photos of her with people!  Not so much the case with the other 3!  Reese and Nana

We picked up Carter after Nana & Pop-Pop's - he came home to look at his basket and find his eggs that the bunny had hidden in the basement!

Carter's school project

Carter had a project for school.  They had to show the differences in different tribes of Native Americans - Carter chose to do the diorama (they could do something on a poster board, or a paper, etc too).   It was pretty big so we just really did not have a place to keep it.  But, a photo works just as nice!  Good job Carter!

Cousins!

No school today and no daycare for Boston and Cooper...so Auntie Heather and soon-to-be-officially "Uncle Eric" brought Teagan over last night so that she could hang out with us during the day.  Auntie Jamie brought Boston & Cooper over this morning since their daycare was closed.  Wish it would have actually felt like spring out (it did a little bit more in the afternoon) but the kids put on their snow stuff and played outside for a little bit!
It started off as a beautiful day!
Riding scooter since none of the bikes are down yet and ready for the summer (will it ever come!?)
Cousins...in order of age!  12 1/2 all the way down to almost 2 (on 4/8/2013)
Dinner...Reese loves black olives and it is even more fun when you can put them on your fingers...and she is working on how many fingers she will be in May!

Love that sound!

When I woke up this morning, about 6:45, I heard a bird chirping.  I told Carter "LISTEN."  Hes said, "it's just a bird!"  I said, "I know, but it is a sign that spring is coming...someday???"  Maybe someday one of these will show up again even though we still have snow on the ground!  :)

Coloring Easter Eggs!

There are a lot of hard-boiled eggs in this house!  I did enough for each of the kids to do 8 of them, plus a few spares!  Yikes!  Almost FOUR dozen eggs... but they love to color and dye them, so let them have a little fun with it!  I totally remember dyeing eggs when I was younger though I do remember getting to that point in life when I was just okay helping Heather, Andrew & Tommy do them!  Now I love to see our kids having fun with them!

Reese's favorite egg!
 Kendall's favorite egg!
Dawson's favorite egg!   Carter's favorite egg!

A lovely day for a ski!

We all headed to Wild Mountain today... except for Reese, she got to go with Grandma and Grandpa Coleman (I am pretty sure that she LOVES these days with them, just spending the time with them all by herself!).  We even took CArter's friend, Ben, with us again!  I know that he likes to go with us, but I am pretty sure that it is even better when Ben comes with!

I spend the 1st part of the morning taking photos.  I know, surprising, right?  Well, know that I have have this nice camera, better take photos of them skiing/snowboarding at least a few times during the season.  Then, after lunch I put on my skis and went down my favorite hill a few times - well maybe 5 times or so, and some of my "not-so-favorite-hills" a few times.  I love the hill at Wild Mountain that is more "meandering" as opposed to "downhill."  Dawson and Kendall were good sports and they went down a time or 2 with me.  I guess that maybe I was born more of a cross country skiier vs. downhill?  Both Dawson and Kendall are far better skiiers than me (sure that Reese will be too in the upcoming seasons).

It makes me real nervous that Carter won't wear a helmet when his friend is with (after we got home, I told him I was not going to argue with him about it in front of Ben, but in the future, if he wants to snowboard, HE WILL BE WEARING A HELMET or he won't be partaking in the activities - he agreed, as Ben took a little digger and Carter said he sees why we want him to wear one.

Dave, Dawson and Kendall coming down a run
Dawson and Kendall doing "moguls" - they were SO excited to be able to show me today how they can ski the moguls!  Luckily they just ski on the outside of the moguls so I guess it is not as bad as skiing right in the middle of them (sure that they will be there at some point!)
 Moguls again!
While I was watching CArter and Ben come down a run an eagle was flying overhead.  I had to snap a photo of that!
Dawson on the little hill by the bunny hill!
Kendall thought she was pretty tricky when we first got to Wild Mtn!  Skiing backwards, little stinker!  Trying to ski on one ski!
 Her racer pose!
Should have learned from the weekend prior when Dave, Dawson and Kendall came home a little sunburned.  I know that at some point I went to grab the sunscreen in the cabinet and must have either forgotten or got distracted!  We all got pretty rosey cheeks!
